These cheerful Unwin Dwarf Dahlias (30 tubers) in pink, red, orange, yellow, and white grow to 24" with sturdy stems that make them excellent for cutting. They are lovely in beds of massed plantings, in borders, or as single specimens scattered through your flower garden. Dahlias like sunny, well-drained soil (inadequate sun makes dahlias grow tall with few blooms.) Dahlias should be planted in the spring after the soil is warm (like your veggies.) Tubers will arrive at your home in dormant state, but will sprout and should bloom the first season after planting. Bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time.
Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors in zones 8 - 10. If you live in zones 7 and below, you will probably want to plant in pots and shelter in winter.
